Default Windows 7 WWAN 5530 driver? [Resolved] - 01-27-2009, 12:31 PM

Hi guys,

I know it probably is covered elsewhere on the forums but I'm not having much luck getting my WWAN card to be recognised on my fresh Windows 7 install on my Mini 9. I've tried Google and forum search without much success, and also tried using the Mini 12 driver from the Dell website (R197332). That didn't work - although I had already tried to install from XP drivers manually so I may have messed it up.

Can anyone tell me which exact driver(s) I should use? A link would be perfect of course.

Ta.

I believe the one you have is the right one. try uninstalling the xp drivers and if that doesn't work , I have 'uninstalled' the device in *device manager* and run a registry cleaner, after that I had no problems. keep in mind this wasnt for the same device and running a reg cleaner is risky business sometimes. I used cc cleaner. I'm not even sure if the reg cleaner is what helped.

Aha, it turns out that it was more a problem with the components I had removed in vLite than the drivers. The above drive works fine now

Which components were missing that caused the problem? Did you find out?
