I have a dell mini 9 with 1 gig memory and 8gb ssd. What OS will be fastest for me? I plan on using nlite if it is recommended. Really would like to pick an OS soon... Please give your oppinion and your system specs.

I would rather have windows 7 but am afraid it will be slower and take up more of what little ssd space i have...

Neither. While XP will fit, barely, on 8GB, it doesn't leave much room. Windows 7 is faster than XP but takes more space. You asked this already in another section, and got some good responses.

There is a guide somewhere on here that installs windows 7 using 3GB.

Rich, this is about the internal SSD in a Mini 9, not a USB thumb drive.
