The intel program is showing 256mb video memory, i cant even find the bios info anymore this is AO3 bios & windows 7

I installed the one at Intel for vista, then upgraded the driver with the one that windows update gives you...

It certainly doesn't make sence since this video chip is suppose to only give you 224 @ max right?

Its says i have Total Available graphics memory 256mb

Dedicated Video Memory : 0 <---should this be 8mb
System Video Memory : 64mb
Shared system memory : 192mb
Reset the bios, didn't do anything.

Which leads me to believe maybe the whole 128mb video memory when bios reset is just a software error, and we are actually still only getting 64mb because otherwise, i believe people would have actually noticed a improvement.


Anyone chime in?

At this point, I'm really just waiting for someone to come up with real world examples of better video performance with their Mini.

This discussion about the amount of available video RAM reminds me of the Korea vs China battery debate that took up two days of this boards time...

I really just wanted to know if anyone else is getting the 256mb reading & the other specs i mentioned windows 7 gives me & perhaps a reason?

Vista and W7 share system ram with video ram. I have 320 video ram on my desktop, but the computer says I have 1.5 GB. It is just the way Vista does it. Show me 256 on XP and I would be interest.
