I will note that there is a very common problem with Windows 7, just about every AV program out there, and use of network shares. This combination will result in an eventual BSOD naming tdx.sys as the driver. See herefor more information about this. There are suggestions that a couple of beta AV products don't fall afoul of this, but not confirmed. AVG and Norton are problems, as is NOD32.

Started with Norton 360 beta, really liked it, started having problems renewing subscription around Feb. 12-uninstalled
Tried AVG until Feb.22- No problems, but prefer to run a FW/AV *suite* and McAfee had just come out with their Win 7 compatible beta
Installed the McAfee Security Center beta, 1st thing I noticed on restart was how long it took to boot, maybe just a fluke.....mmmm, nope, boot time definitely longer. running 49 process' now instead of the usual 40-42 for my set-up. I don't think McAfee is responsible for all the extra but most. It is the same as Free McAfee/Comcast(cable-broadband provider) Security Suite- Good but a pig.
With N360 beta I really liked that it didn't 'feel' like it was there, I'm sure AVG is a good AV but am still a 'lil skeptical after the user32 debacle. McAfee's....well....ummmm, free coz I get it from Comcast. It has kept all of my computers virus and intrusion free for 6 years now...I've grown accustomed to it.
I'm going to throw Avira on for a little while and see how I like it, but so far Norton 360 is leading in my race in spite of it having a lot of redundancy of features with Win7.
