Finally got the damn thing up and running. It took about 15 attempts at an install, 3 DL ISO files, one brand new DVD drive(100 bucks what a waste) lord knows how many new progs for partitions, imaging, virtual driving, updating etc, and one unnecessary trip to circuit city(after realizing i was fresh out of blank DVDS) and half of season three of XENA:WARRIOR PRINCESS to kill time(gotta love netflix on XBOX), but i finally got it. Thanks so much to all your suggestions and help.

In the end the problem was exactly what you guys said it was, unfortunatley the number of things i had to do just to get around it was ridiculous. although the solution to installing Windows was right, the ways to get around it werent working for me and i needed to jump through some major hoops to make it work.
