Default Windows 7 Services and Tweaks - 09-04-2010, 12:32 PM

Hello !

I am expecting a 1018 soon and I'm looking for some tweaks or optimizations in order to make the Windows 7 experience on this netbook a bit more pleasant.

I found this website where you can see guides about disabling services and some other stuff in Windows 7... Do you think I can / should follow that guide , being this a netbook?

I've never had a netbook before.

the version of Windows 7 that you are getting is Windows 7 starter edition and most of the options are disabled cant even change the desktop background....1st thing you should do is upgrade to either Windows 7 Professional or the one I use which is Windows 7 Ultimate then worry about changes....Good Luck

I already had that in mind. Actually I had thought about changing Starter to Home Premium (the same I am using in my current laptop) because Professional doesn't offer me anything I would need to use (as far as I know).
