Default Win 7 Install help - 06-23-2010, 10:43 PM

I just installed Win7 on my mini 910. I seems to have gone OK but the devices screen the mini computer has a unknown device yellow triangle. Am I missing some sort of device driver?

Default Have a 910 mini too, but I can not install 7. - 07-01-2010, 03:15 PM

Have a 910 mini too, but I can not install 7.
On the "Where do you want to install windows?" the message is displayed after the yellow triangle with an exclamation "Windows can not be installed to this disk" (an 8gb ssd).
Is there a tool that prepares the partition?

Choose an "advanced" install and then delete any existing partitions. You may find that Win7 won't install into only 8GB.

I have a Mini 9 with Windows 7 Pro and a 32GB SSD, the Windows folder is at 8.47GB. Thats just Windows, not Program Files or Users.

Thank holmes4, but when I try to click on "Apply" the new size, the following message appears "Failed to create a new partition on the selected unused space.[Error:0X80070017]"

Default Win 7 Install - 07-05-2010, 10:48 PM

Do a VLite on whatever Win 7 you're using, shrinks it down to about 4 gb, there is a guide in this site for it. Look in guides for it, I've used it. If you do a regular install of Win 7 on an 8gb drive you won't have enough space left for the mini to operate. Use VLite, all Win 7 updates, anti-virus, should leave you about 1.2 gb left.

Yes, definitely you are missing some drives. Depending on what drive it is. Have you tried installing all the crucial ones? In fact, for my mini dell, I have a backup of drivers in a different partition, I advise you to do that in the future too. In case if you decided to reformat or install a new windows operating system into your computer in the future, you will still have the driver files with you.

Default Thanks Belldude - 07-07-2010, 08:50 PM

Belldude, which driver is missing? I believe my problem is to partition the ssd, he simply has no space allocated and when I try to allocate the error appears. Is there a driver or tool I should use?

[sorry by my english]
