Using the Acronis Clone Disk. It sees both drives (64GB SSD and 16GB SSD), can choose source disk but not the destination disk. I just want to have a clone image of WIndows 7 on the 16GB SSD. Can I do this? I reformatted the 16GB SSD using windows format utility at NTFS, then went in and make a healthy partition in Disk Management.

Am I doing something wrong here? Is the destination too small to clone Windows 7?

I believe your destination must be the same size as your master.

It's late and I'm tired, but I also believe you can go into disk management and resize your partition to meet the drive size requirements. R click computer>Manage>Disk Mana......R click on the drive and "Shrink Volume"

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think that if you use Acronis Disk Director Suite (you can download the free trial version) that you can use the copy function...not sure if it works for external drives or not....just an idea..
