Question Anyone running Skype on a 10v with Windows 7 ? - 03-20-2010, 12:11 AM

I just did a dual boot install of Mac OS X 10.6.2 and Windows 7 Ultimate on my 10v the other day. Replaced the OEM drive with a 64GB SSD drive, added 2GB of RAM, added Bluetooth, and upgraded the wireless card to the 1510 "N" card.

I installed the latest version of Skype and the "Check settings" says... "Your computer speed is very slow". There is nothing else running other than my AVG Internet Security, not to mention this is a fresh install, only about a day old.

Just wondering if anyone else is getting the same message about their computer running slow ?

I'm pretty sure Skype is just expecting a much faster computer. Mine will fluctuate between saying it is running "very slowly" (red) and somewhat slowly (yellow)... I think Skype just believes the processor is overloaded with other processes and "only" see 1.6 GHz free

Thank you very much for the input / feedback, much appreciated. I was actually thinking the same thing as far as Skype expecting to be running on a faster computer. I wasn't too worried about it but wanted to hear what other members had to say and what they were experiencing.

Hmmm... that's interesting. I noticed in your signature you're running a Mini 9. I'm not familiar with them, do they have the same processor as the 10v ?
