No it does not work for it. Gives you multiple resolutions but not the needed 1024x728

Default advice given to me someone who is techie... - 01-31-2010, 09:30 PM

First of all, I need to install CS2 or CS3 or CS4 because I need Illustrator to run. Illustrator files work on legacy, unlike Photoshop, and all these versions 2, 3, and 4 require 1024x768 screen requirement. The Dell 10v is 1024x600.

My tech-guru-friend advised to plug in an external monitor, and then install. A flat-screen tv may work, but I was told that these screens might fall short of 1024x768. I am glad that these mini's have a serial port for monitors.

Hope this helps...

have you tried installing each cs3 app individually? which one of them requires the 768 width? i was able to install photoshop cs3 on my mini9 without any problems.

I have the CS3 master suite. The CS3 installer itself wont even let me select which ones I want. I cant get to the installer screen because when it runs the precheck when the installer boots its stating that it cant be installed due to screen resoultion.

I have posted information on a new GMA950 video driver for for the Mini 9 and Mini 10v in the "Latest Mini 9 Win 7 drivers" post. It allows for scaled virtual resolutions larger than the screen resolution:
