i know this is a really old thread, but I just forgot to update it. It turns out that the problems were being caused by my faulty sdhc card. If i take it out, everything works great. With it in, I occasionally have problems. When it gives me problems, I just back up the data, reformat it and put the data back on.
Sometimes it refuses to recognize the card. I put it in, and in "My Computer" it shows and sdhc card as one of the attached devices. When I click on it, it says, "Please insert a device into drive D."
Other times, when I put it in, It comes up with two popup windows:
"You need to reformat the disk in drive C before you can use it."
"You need to reformat the disk in drive D before you can use it."
When it gives me any of these errors, i switch the lock switch on, so it is write-protected. Then i have almost no errors, but I cannot write to the disk.
I just did a reformat yesterday.
