Default Will Virtual PC Work with Atom? - 09-27-2009, 11:09 PM

Will the Windows 7 "XP Mode" work with the Intel Atom processor?

Would like to experiment without wasting a download

Edit - Found out it does,t thought I'd post this link tho as it has some pretty interesting stuff on it:

IntelĀ® Atom? Processor N270 (512K Cache, 1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB) with SPEC Code(s) SLB73

No, it won't. The Atom N270 does not support the "VT" feature that MS Virtual PC requires.

Probably. Also, the older Virtual PC 2007 will run if you can find it. Also, Sun's xVM VirtualBox should run.

Microsoft removed the "VT" requirement from Virtual PC. I have not tried it on an Atom, though.
