I use Norton Internet Security as well. I was previously a real Norton hater as the older versions were real resource hogs. The new version has really won me over.

The thing that has annoyed me about Microsoft Security Essentials is that it uses Windows Update to do its updates and it keeps prompting you to shut down when it wants to do one automatically.

The main problem with Microsoft Security Essentials and Microsoft ForeFront is the fact that it uses Windows Updates to obtain new virus definitions
It is pretty ironic when the first thing a virus disables is the Automatic Update service and you cannot obtain the latest definitions
This usually results in having to run MalwareBytes Anti-Malware to do an initial cleaning (hopefully removing enough of the junk to allow you to re-enable MSUpdate). Then you can continue on with cleaning the virus away with the Microsoft crap.
Honestly, if Microsoft is going to create a security suite, why not include it in their operating system

I have been using it (on Version 7201) virtually since it was first available, and can't ever recall it prompting me to shut down just for a MS Security Essentials update... well perhaps once when there was a major program update, but the daily updates, to obtain the latest definitions, just happen without me even being aware of them.
