Default Slim down Win 7 post-install? - 08-14-2009, 02:50 PM

Can I slim down my Win 7 install after I've actually installed it? Delete help files etc?
I installed from a DVD to my 8GB SSD with no problem, but now only have about ~1GB free.
I can't seem to delete anything from system folders due to lack of permissions, but nowhere can I see how to change this - nothing pops up asking for my authorisation as an 'adminstrator account'. Hardly very user friendly.

Secondly, where are you guys getting drivers for the one/two devices not recognised?

Cheers, Dave

The base system devices are 2/3rds of the card reader. Install the card reader driver. I believe someone mentioned a few days ago that there is an updated Win7 driver on the manufacturer's site (JMicro?)
