Question win7-7100 getting "Display driver stopped responding" - 07-01-2009, 09:59 PM

This past weekend I wiped 7000 off of my mini9 and loaded 7100, and now I
keep getting "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered".
From what I have read from several threads here, that we don't need to
load any other driver. I did not have this issue on 7000. Anyone seen this?
Any suggestions?

Regards,
Mike

Yes I get this on my Mini 10v as well - hopefully Intel will be releasing stable drivers shortly when Win 7 goes to RTM.

I've had four builds installed including 7100 and have not seen that. Is there a way to reinstall the driver?

I've got Win 7 RTM, on a 10V. Latest display driver 6-16-09 8.15.10.1825.
Almost every time I open I get the display driver has stopped working. When running on battery, then open, it usually freezes up and I need to restart.
Set to do nothing, when I close lid.
Set screen to never dim
Set screen to turn off after 5 min.
No screen saver.

I have certainly got a later driver than that one, which if I remember correctly actually came from the Windows Upgrade system.

I will check it out in the morning, and post which version it actually is, as it has not caused me any problems at all.

I am wondering what the start-button/taskbar properties are set to for people getting this error. Specifically if you are getting the error have you changed the behavior of the bar from the default/installed setting:
1. Have you moved the taskbar from the bottom of the screen to somewhere else (left/right/top).
2. Is your taskbar set to auto-hide?

The Intel driver I currently have installed on my Mini 10v is 8.15.10.1930 dated 23/09/2009 which, as far as I recall, is available as an optional Windows 7 download from from the official Microsoft Windows Update site.

As I mentioned before, I am finding it very stable indeed.

Ever since (2 days ago) I moved my taskbar back to normal (bottom) I have not gotten the error. I received the error when I had it to the left.

I have the taskbar on the left - no problems.
