My intel 945 driver is 8.15.10.1825. Dell 10V. Still getting the error when I open my cover. Taskbar at the bottom. PITA.

Newest is 8.15.10.1930 (though, if you click on Driver Details it says 8.14.10.1930)

I've got 8.15.10.1930. Still happening. What a PITA. My last hope is to upgrade the RAM and hope that would make a difference.

How about upgrading the os from 7100. That would probably help more.

I agree, 7100 had quite a few bugs, 7157 was pretty good, but if you can get 7600 (RTM) release that is the best....

Sorry didn't see that in the OP. I've got a retail ver of Win 7 pro. Looks like setting the task bar to Not auto-hide did the trick. Kinda sucks though, with the screen being so small to begin with.

I have the task bar on the left edge - seems to make a better use of the screen. I never liked auto-hide though I can see the appeal.
