| hmm mine came out 6.7 GB. followed the instructions by the letter. what the? My ultimate ISO is from MSDN. any ideas? |

| Confirmed. This does not work. I tested with a retail ISO and the install took about 5GB's, yet all the contents on the flash drive amount to about to 2GB. wtf? Help someone ![]() |

| I did the same shrunk files down to 1.78gb after install 7.25gb, I am using RTM of win7 home premium. |

| Took around 5.5 GB on my Mini 9 too.. ![]() ---------- Post added at 08:10 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:42 AM ---------- I think the culprit here is the Paging File..once i disabled that...reclaimed 2GB+ !! Wohooooo! ![]()

| Mine used 5.2 gig, but thats a lot better than the 8.5 installing the full OS. With all my bits on I'm up to 7.5 out of 14.2. Happy Days ![]()

| i installed w7 ultimate with the OP's method but wifi doesn't work. it shows that i have wifi but if i try to enable it, it says enabled but it stays disabled. anybody know a fix for this? i installed the mini 10 wifi switch too. |

| I can't even boot off the usb..it shrank the installer to about 2Gbs also. I know the USB is bootable and I have installed W7 on it before..just trying to shrink the size of the installation. *** Using diskpart.exe after 4 attempts to make the bootable USB, I have been successful. Will report after installing the install. Well I freed up a total of 2GB so now instead of 20GB free I have 23.7GB..but mouse doesn't work -.- and other stuff -.- Guess soem other people will have better luck than me =) |
