After struggling with drivers for Windows 7 Beta 1, I've decided to make an all-inclusive guide to help with drivers.

Awesome awesome stuff folks.

After a bad start with Win7 on my Mini 9 I went back to XP, but reading this made me try it again.

Lo and behold it's working great!

There is a new version driver for the JMicron card reader out.

JMB38X Driver Release History

Edit : never mind found the problem, but i noticed my disk transfer rate is scoring a 2.0, wonder why that is?
I have followed the guide, everything works fine. I too have these 2 base system devices in Device manager... what are they?

anyone know what these are so i can fix it too!

Install the battery meter program and the jmicron driver. Links on page 1 of this thread.

Be sure to run Windows Update too.

I edited the first post to add the "older version" Battery Meter/Wireless Select switch, which is mislabeled as it is really just the battery meter. The "newer version" is just the wireless select switch (plus the ACPI drivers). Go figure.

I installed R195925 and it seems to include the FN+2 switch or was that installed from somewhere else? R195925, the JMicron card reader driver, and the Synaptics touchpad drivesr were the only things that I installed. So I assumed that the Wireless/BT switch came from R195925?

195925 provides the wireless switch (Fn-2) and the ACPI drivers. But it doesn't provide the battery meter (Fn-3). For that you need 195924.
