| Mini 9, Build 7100, RunCore 32 GB, won't let me disable write caching. When unchecking it, get the error: "Windows could not change the write-caching setting for the device. Your device might not support this feature or changing this setting." Any idea how to circumvent this? Thanks

| You don't want to disable write caching any more. A few builds ago you could disable it, but it slowed things down, as disk performance tanked.

![]() http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/ ... indows%207 Noticed an updated Win7 Intel 945 video driver avail from Microsoft Update Catalog site. Installs thru device manager just fine under Vista SP1 as well! ![]() BTW: Pick smaller Windows 7 file from the list since the other larger size would be 64-bit version... |

| Hi, i followed all the instructions mentioned here but i'm having three problems. I cannot change the audio volume using the fn+audio key. Second one is when i press the Caps lock key i dont receive any notification if it is active or not like it was on XP. Last, i dunno if this is normal or not but i can't see how much time does my battery will survive since it only displays the %. Thnks ![]() |

| The CapsLock notification was a side-effect of the Bluetooth software Dell loaded. I didn't believe this initially but it seems to be true. The Fn-Audio buttons work for me.

| Thanks so much for the drivers! Those yellow exclamation points really bugged me. One thing though, Windows 7 RC1 is not letting me use the I/O Magic external USB CD/DVD drive at all! I don't get it. Any help would be appreciated. Dell Mini 9, 32GB SSD, Windows 7 RC 1 Build 7100 Wireless: YES Audio: YES Video (1024x600): YES Bluetooth: N/A (System configured without it) Camera: N/A (System configured without it) Wired Network: Not tested (But new drivers installed)

| That I/O Magic drive has been trouble for many, across all operating systems. It doesn't get enough power from its stock USB cable.
