| Yea I was looking for new devices on the laptop, and repeatedly pressed the Bluetooth button on the mouse (definitely switched on). There are also brand new batteries in the mouse. I have no idea why it's not finding the mouse - on XP all I had to do was turn the mouse on, XP would tell me it found/installed a new device and away I went. Thanks for your help though. I can't seem to find any specific drivers for the mouse - can anyone provide a link for a generic Bluetooth mouse driver?

| I am still a little confused about all this... I installed all the necessary drivers from the list. Is there anything else that I should be installing? How about the BIOS update? Do I use the Mini 12 or the Mini 9 update? I assume the mini 9 but I just wanted to make sure. What about video drivers? I did not see them mentioned in the thread. |

| I just re-installed Windows 7 yesterday after running OS X for a week. It's nice, but I have more software I need on Windows (not to mention more disk space available after the install.) You should have minimum BIOS version A03 (and the Mini 9 version.) I found some issues with screen brightness that get fixed after upgrading to A03. The drivers metioned are really all you need. The stock video driver in Windows 7 works fine. If you think anything else is missing check the Device Manager and look unknown items.

| I loaded Win 7 usuing a vlite install and did not include User Access Control. When I try to install the Dell or Synaptics touchpad drivers I get the following error message: "To install the local security option User Access Control - Detect application installations and prompt for elevation should be enabled... Since I did not include UAC I cant find that option in the local security settings.. Any ideas on a workaround? TIA |
