Anyone have any luck getting iTunes or Safari to install? On Both, I get "Windows Installer has stopped working". For some reason the installer fails with Apple apps.

| Webcam works fine for me - at least in the Dell webcam application.

Webcam works for me, but not sure why I still have two base system devices still not installed. Everything seems to work though, so I guess I will let it go until I find something not working.

@minuteman The webcam seems to work okay for me. I tested it using the webcam function at gravatar.com. I'm using build 7000 and I had the ethernet cable plugged in during install so Windows 7 automatically downloaded the webcam drivers. @jimhanseng I've got another machine with W7 on it which was an upgrade from Vista x64. It already had iTunes on but kept complaining about needing to be reinstalled. When I tried to do so, Explorer kept crashing. Something to do with the Customer Experience 'Improvement' application, apparently. The Action Center gave me the instructions shown below, which allowed the installer to run. Don't know if iTunes actually works though because I haven't rebooted my machine yet. Solve a problem with Windows 7 beta An issue with the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) client in Windows 7 beta is causing Explorer and some MSI-based installers to stop working properly. To solve this problem, follow these steps: Click the Start button , click All Programs, and then click Accessories. Right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. In the User Account Control window, verify that Program name is Windows Command Processor, and then click Yes. In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type or paste the following text at the prompt: reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SQMClient\Windows\Disabled Sessions /va /f Press Enter to install the solution. If The operation completed successfully displays, close the Administrator: Command Prompt window to complete this procedure. If "ERROR: Access is denied" displays, repeat this procedure from the top, making sure you clicked Run as administrator in step two.

@emq3: I re-installed the webcam drivers for Mini 9 and tested with the Dell Video Chat program. It works. Does anyone remember how the camera would show up in windows explorer in XP? Used to see it next to my C drive in My Computer. It could be launched right there to take pictures and videos. Oh well, thanks.

@minuteman I guess it'll show up in W7's new 'Device Stage'. Assuming Creative supply the appropriate drivers for it.

I finally got iTunes and Safari to install. I can't take much credit for it and can't really tell you how to make it work. Windows 7 figured it out for me. After several other applications failed to install, I got a message from the troubleshooting tool that told me to delete a registry key. I forgot to write down what it was. SORRY! After that, all the programs I had trouble installing, installed without error.

Just installed Win7 Beta 7000 over my default XP installation - everything worked straight off, though I did need to download the Synaptics driver, the Bluetooth/Wireless Switch, and the Jmicron drivers to clear all the yellow flags. Everything else is working great. I'm a huge fan of Win7, it's sooo sweet on netbooks.
