The new mini 12 will be offering Vista Home Basic as a factory option, with 1GB of RAM and an experience rating of 1.0 (hope that bit is wrong)

Full review here as well for those interested, looks like its not nearly as easy to upgrade as the mini 9 (see photos in article), and with a 1GB RAM limit (chipset) is probably not as good a choice to run vista.

Surely those of you have tried Vista are getting a better rating than 1.0 ??????????

1.0 is awful. The processor is only clocking at 1.3 aswell so I'm assuming those screenshots aren't 10000% reliable.

After another look, I don't think the screenshots are the problem - the 1.0 rating sounds bad but is actually "unrated" (that is, the test hasn't been run yet)

Has anyone else run this on the current mini 9 and got the REAL value?

I do. i just installed Vista on my Mini over the weekend. Here are some screens of the System Performance Rating:

I got higher numbers for graphics and hard disk, rest is the same:

Graphics: 4.1
Primary hard disk: 5.9

Ultimate with Vista drivers from Intel.
