I have 3 devices, 2 base devices and an uknown device with no drivers, and cannot find them online either through the update, are these devices impt? If not, I think I will leave them

Go to the Dell support site, Dell Mini 12 drivers, and download/install the Battery Meter/Wireless Select Switch (under Applications) and the JMicron driver (under Chipset)...see if that clears the unknown devices. Link to Mini 12 drivers.

The battery meter/wireless select switch allows you to use Fn+2 to switch your wireless on/off, and the JMicron driver is for the SD/SDHC/MMC card reader.

this solved the problem for my mini 9 running windows 7 rc1. the base devices were the SD card and the unknown was the battery monitor.

Just went through the same problem and the jmicron drivers for the sd slot is what did it.
Thanks to all who post. Without all of us, I may have had a questionable machine.

I am having same device manager problems and i have the base system device on question mark and it also say (The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.) how can i fix it , and what driver do i need?
