installed win7 build 7000 as well. Tried builds 6800 and 6956 before, and this feels the most stable and usable yet. I have been wondering which OS to stick with (Dell Linux Mini, Ubuntu, Ubuntu Netbook Remix or Win7) and so far Win7 is the most pleasing to use.

I am using a standard 16gb model, but with the 2gb RAM upgrade. Currently not running a virus checker and need to decide on something lite to use (if at all).

This generally feels like a tight slick version of vista, with some definite nods towards Mac OS (on the task bar).

Combined with Google Chrome, this is giving me the fastest browsing experience yet. Happy for any questions....

W7 is everything Vista could and should have been. I'm lovin' it in a non Mc Donalds way.
Does yours sleep when you close it? And does it immediately wake back up when you open it? Cause mine doesn't. :-(
Hi sorry for the delay in reply we went away for a short hols. I'm using build 7000 and have deployed the orbit 30 patcher. Everything works bang on. Sleep is a joy to use, instant off almost and instant on almost!

assuming we all used the same image, I didnt change any driver setting apart from the wireless switch and the battery meter. Could there be some other application causing a problem? Have you tweaked any of the power settings?

i did the wireless switch, battery meter, jmicron drivers and trackpad. It never slept before or after any of those updates.

Nothing else was installed.

I am not using a virus scan, and two of the three I've tried were blocked on install. The link to recommended virus scans by MS had suggestions when I first visited, although that was about a month ago.

For those having troubles waking up their mini from sleep, goto BIOS setup (press '2' when the mini starts up) and make sure USB Wake Support is Disabled.

That did the trick for me.
