Hey everyone,

I'm running Ubuntu (jaunty) netbook remix on my dell mini 9. Works fine except for it will not hibernate. Instead I get a blank screen and the computer stays on. I have read elsewhere that it won't hibernate without a swap partition, but I do have a swap partition 1gb in size. So, I'm stumped.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any solutions?

i believe you cant hibernate on ssd drive.... you can only go on sleep mode

Why not? The interfaces are the same, operating systems typically can't tell the difference.

i thought swap was no bueno on a ssd also.

interested to see if you can get hibernate to work. with ext4 mine boots pretty quickly so i'm not to concerned.

when you installed it did you setup a swap partition ?
