But I do think 9.04NBR is better. I installed it about 3 weeks ago on my Mini 9, and haven't looked back. It is particularly good if you have a 4GB SD Mini, since it only requires 3GB to install.

I specifically upgraded to 9.04 UNR to address the random freeze-ups with the Dell 8.04 release. On my Mini 12 I lost an hour of battery life, but it don't freeze anymore and that is worth a lot more. 9.04 is a regular intel release instead of an LPIA Atom release so that's where you lose the battery life.

I run 9.04 desktop edition and it works well for me. I did have a problem with some apps "greying" out/pausing, particularly with firefox. I turned off desktop effects and all has been well since, no more "greying out". I never ran 8.04.. so I can't say much about it.
