Default Creating bootable USB in live session - 03-30-2009, 03:51 PM

I dont want to install Ubuntu permanently to my mac, I just want to make a bootable usb stick and install it to my Mini 9. First, whats the difference between USB Creator installed from the Terminal and the "Create USB startup disk" found in Administration? Second, I understand that its not possible to install files in LiveCD mode since i run it from the CD (wich I have to do with the Terminal installation), but is it possible to change the directory to wich the files are installed?

When i use the "Cretate USB startup disk" tool, it crashes despite the fact that I use one usb stick as source and one as target.

Ideas anyone?

So, I just realised that the two are the same. So, now the question is how do I pull it off and why does it crash?
