Default Re: g++ on Dell Mini9? - 02-17-2009, 08:05 PM

I don't have my Mini yet, but I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 on a Dell XPS M1530.

The normal way to install gcc and g++ on Ubuntu is by installing the package named build-essential. You can do this via the Synaptic package manager, or with a terminal command:
sudo apt-get install build-essential

Dell Mini 9 (Black, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB RunCore SSD, Ubuntu 8.10)
Dell XPS M1530 (Red, Core 2 Duo T9300, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD, nVidia 8600M GT, Ubuntu 8.04)
