Default Cancelling mute overrides headphones - 02-04-2009, 09:13 PM

Anyone else having this problem as it's persistent on my machine. Listening to Rythmbox with my headphones plugged in all is fine (initially) with playback as the headphones automatically override the main speakers.

Whilst listening if I mute all sound (Fn4) and then turn mute off (Fn4 again) the music is being piped out of both the headphones and speakers!

If I then disconnect the headphones from the jack and re-connect them the speakers are once again quiet.

Yes, same problem. I didn't realize it at first and thought I must have put the headphone pin in the microphone jack because the sound was coming out of the speakers. Unplugging and replugging is the only solution I've found so far.
