Question Other K-12 educators? - 01-10-2009, 06:35 PM

I am a school district IT Director and received a grant to populate our 4th grade classrooms with 1:1 Dell Mini 9's, with Ubuntu (65 of them). The teachers will be working across all content areas to augment their instruction with web 2.0 and open source tools. I have one demo device and currently working on the quote for the lot of them.

As I embark upon this project, I would like to connect with other educators who are using this device for students. Please email me directly or post here if you have your own projects. Hope to meet you soon!

I don't know if we have anyone here that fits the build, but this sounds like an awesome deal for you and your students.

Plus, there shouldn't be many 4th graders who can't fit this keyboard!

Consider asking this question at ubuntuforums: http://ubuntuforums.org

The Ubuntu community as a whole is much larger than the Mini community.

Good luck with the project.

PS: including a complete email address is likely to generate spam.
