Hey all,

Got my wife a Dell Mini 9 for x-mas and it worked fine til last night, now neither shift key works. Caps Lock still works, but shifts does not.

What keyboard layout should be selected? I've tried all the Dell ones, but none seem to work.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Or if a kind soul could look under System -> Preferences -> Keyboard, and on the second tab "Layouts" they could tell me what they have in the Keyboard Model field.

This is on Ubuntu 8.04.

After lots of software problem tries, it turned out to be Hardware issue.

Reseated Keyboard connector and the Shift Keys are working now.
