Default Reconnecting bluetooth mouse in 8.10 - 12-27-2008, 05:21 PM

Hey all,

Upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 and have a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse. I can pair the devices and use the mouse. But if I reboot, or dont use the mouse for a bit, or turn the mouse off and then back on, it doesn't reconnect. What do I need to do? I'd like to be able to get this to work reliably!

Some mice come "back" by pressing the left button for a second or so. Check your mouse documentation, it should indicate what it requires.

Go to your Bluetooth settings System>Preferences>Bluetooth and change the visibility setting to Always Visible.
