Hello all, I just received a brand new Dell Mini 9 yesterday with Ubuntu installed. This is my first attempt at using Linux. So far, not so good.
To start off I can't get connected to my wireless network, I believe I need to install the driver for the network adapter. However that leads to my second problem...
In the upper left hand corner of the screen is supposed to be a home and a home icon and an Ubuntu Icon. I should be able to use the Ubuntu Icon to access the system folder and switch to the classic desktop, right? Well, it's not there anymore. In the few hours I was playing around with my new toy last night the Ubuntu Icon inexplicably went away. All I was able to do was change the picture in the background and attempt to connect to my wireless network.
To top it all off sometimes when the system starts up the Dell Desktop bar thing the cursor freezes. At the moment its working however.
I would greatly appreciate any help. I'd much rather not have to call Dell. Thanks so much.
