You shouldn't need to manually download any files. The restricted driver manager (System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers) should be able to enable the drivers.

Mini 9 | Intel 5100 Wifi | Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook
Mini 1012 | SSD | Intel 6200 Wifi | Ubuntu 11.10 64bit

I am having the same problem. Using the restricted driver manager does not help the problem- it just goes into an endless loop, telling me that the driver needs to be activated, I activate it, and it still needs to be activated.

Been at this all day.....

Plug into a network and unplug your usb stick. Download the dkms and dcmwl while installing them. It was the only way I could get it to work.
