Ok, I just got my Mini 9 on Monday from the outlet and I put the Dell version of Ubuntu on it and it all seemed to be working fine.......... including the wireless network, I had a strong connection that never faltered. Then after all the updates the wireless network manager won't let me select a network to connect to but I'm still connecting........ eventually. The problem is that every once in a while it'll disconnect for a short amount of time and all the time it's not nearly as steadily fast as it was before the updates.
I haven't used a linux distro in at least 7 to 8 years and when I did it was just to experiment before giving up and so I really don't understand how any of this works. I saw there was what seemed to be a way to manually configure the connection but everytime I manually configure it other than using the so called automatic option it disconnects me and I can't connect until I remove all the connections and find the auto found connection for my network. Also it seems like it asks me like 5 times for my WPA code before it will connect. I really don't know what I'm doing but I can tell this updated wirless manager isn't working.
