Mechdrew has made an insanely awesome how-to here. Please keep the questions and comments out of the FAQ's & How-To's section. They belong in the main Mac OS X section. I'd lock this thread to drive the point home, but then Mechdrew wouldn't be able to edit his guide. So be aware, I cannot move your posts to the correct thread.....

![]() I'm not trying to sound like a stickler, but please do not post anymore questions or replies here. There is a thread for doing so, and you will only get an answer there. I will not respond to any replies here since it seems that MyDellMini and it's administrators would like to keep this thread clean.
Please ask any questions or make any comments in this thread: http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/mac-...-guide-v3.html

![]() Thank you very much! This DellEFI method also works on my ideapad S10 netbook. It is the easiest and reliable method to install retail DVD using USB flash drive.
Chameleon makes it dual boot with Windows 7 on GPT HD. BTW, is it possible to get the source codes? I want to modify DellEFI 1.2a5 to work on S10 with specific kexts and 2-finger scroll. Cheers! |

![]() For dell mini9 users, you need to make sure that your BIOS is updated to version A05
![]() I didn't have a mac, so i tried this tutorial using a virtual machine in windows that had an osx installed on it ![]() installation of the os-x on the dell mini 9, os x complain of the image.... I ended up just borrowing my friend's real mac book, and using that computer to format my usb with the os-x installation... Other than that, big thanks to the poster of the tutorial, it was fantastic... big regards from Vancouver Canada... |

![]() Ran into a snag with the 10.5.7 update.
The screen went black and seemed to have locked up. I had to hold the power button until the mini restarted. At that point I hit the "-" key to boot into safe mode. The mini rebooted without going into safe mode. I hit "-" key again, and this time was rewarded with a login to safe mode. Everything went smoothly from there. I'm extremely happy with my new apple netbook! |

![]() I run the 10.5.7 update and my machine never boots again. I just end up at the apple logo with the spinning wheel, and it never goes beyond this.
Help please. |
