Default What is your windows experience index score? - 05-11-2011, 10:50 PM

Just curious to get a survey of what everyone score is. I would be interested in comparing for example the score of a new dell vs one that has a freshly installed copy of windows (sans bloatware) vs someone who has managed to install an ssd.

edit: Our Duo scores a 2.1 -held back considerably by graphics (desktop performance for windows Aero).

I am guessing maybe everyone will get the same score?

2.8
Mine is running the configuration listed in my signature.
I replaced the Atheros Wifi/BT combo card with a better performing Wifi-only Intel model 6200.

I installed a MoGo BT USB dongle in one of the ports in the Audio Station to make up for the lack of one in my Duo and to support BT keyboard and mouse while docked.

Win7 Pro 32 was a last minute decision on the fresh install because it became available to me.

mine came at 2.6, fresh install 2.7 and with ssd it stayed at 2.7
ofcourse the disk mark went upto 7.8 .....

now the aero index doesn't interest me much. the rest of the indexes
are quite ok for the hardware.

ok - then i am a bit worried about why my score for graphics should be so much lower than everyone else. Anyone got any idea what the problem could be?

---------- Post added at 09:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:25 AM ----------

Just ran the assessment again, and i am up to 2.7. I dont know why the previous score was so low, i am guessing maybe the test was done when the computer wasnt plugged in, and thus running in some kind of low powered state.

you might want to check if there are new video drivers available
at dell ?

for the rest there is not much you can do.

Ah, i replied without seeing you reran the test.
So you got the same score as all of us.

The test will not start while you are on battery.
So There must be another reason for your previous rating.

I'm at 2.9 overall (3.1 Proc, 4.5 RAM, 2.9 Graphics, 3.0 Gaming Graphics, 5.9 HD)

Display version is 8.14.10.2230 running at 1280x720 resolution

Not sure how much difference there is between 2.7 and 2.9 but anyhoo...

I DID do a fresh install of the driver from Intel directly
