[Edited to include working link to NBI file] [04/19/13]
This guide will show you how to create a bootable OS X installation USB flash drive using your PC. (For use with Dell Mini 10v, and Dell Mini 9.)

If you are new to Hackintosh, check out this thread before you install:...

10v, N80, 1 Gig ram, 160 Gig HD, A06 /Windows XP / SL 10.6.6 NBI 0.8.4 Special/ Linux Mint |

Well, I been reading and asking a few question the other the day to Oscar. Now after MANY works of reading I finally decide that it was the time.

I used:
Mac OS X 10.6.3 (Retail Upgrade)
4GB Pen Drive (NBI)
60GB Ext HD (Mac OSX)

Most of the process was done using this guide
http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/mac-...tml#post178488

However I used roxio that was on my PC to do the ISO file of the DVD.

About 75% of the install of the OS X is done... we will see. I will post more details later.

Thanks forum and all for the help!

Great to hear!

One question : did roxio work for you or did you end up having to use a different approach?

I use Roxio to create the macdvd.iso file then I rename that to macdvd.img after that I used TrasMac to write the macdvd.img to the 60gb Hard drive.

Everything working great other than sleep or hibernation. I may not know how to wake the system up or is not working. If is possible can you please explain this to me a little? I have your scripts 3 & 5 but I'm not been to successful in that part.

Thanks again!

You know sleep/hibernation are such a mystery in some ways. Things work fine for me with mode 5, but not 3-- under 10.6.6. But others still can't seem to make it work the same way. I tried the same approach with 10.6.3, and it didn't work.

You can try what I've done, if you like.
Details on this thread:

http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/dell-mini-10v-mac-os-x-discussion/25298-next-hibernation-thread.html

*turn off legacy USB support if it's still enabled.

Also, I have things set up so the lid won't wake my system. But even before that, I often had to use the power button to wake up, nothing else would work.

So if I want to update, I just download the dropbox file and run it. Then Click on the apple at the top left of the screen. Click update. And then run the file from dropbox again.
