I was thinking something similar, so here's my thought process:

1) Format the SSD (just out of the box at this point) with a FAT and a Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) partition (think about 25% and 75%, respectively).

2) Use CCC to transfer my existing setup to the SSD Mac Partition.

3) Install the Windows 7 Disk on a flashdrive

4) Boot from said flash drive and install on the FAT partition

5) DONE


And then I should just be able to hold Shift on startup to select a partition, right?

Hello everyone,

So this seems like it has been forever. Just thought I would let you know that I am finally doing this!

I have a Macbook Pro (13" Retina, Late 2013) but I just love my Mini 10v and want to use it for coding MCUs, typing, and browsing. I just got it back from my sister, who used it for her last 2 years of high-school.

I chose a 120 GB Intel SSD I got on Amazon, it was priced very well (approx. $70). Currently running CCC. I don't think I will have to run NBI, fingers crossed.

I'll update when it is done...


The newest OSX is nice, but Snow Leopard (10.6.8) will always have a special place in my heart.
