Default What have you done to your M11x? - 10-31-2010, 09:23 PM

Just got mine, so I haven't done anything with it yet. I've also got the M11xR2.

What have you done with yours?

Upgraded the HDD to 750GB, threw in a DW 1510, and then hackintoshed it.

Nice. How'd the hackintoshing of it work out?

Contemplating throwing a different WLAN card in there.. I think the one I want I accidentally sold with my 10v... Oops!

My warranty is about up, I want to look at fitting mine with a touchscreen which would entail hacking up the screen cover. Other than that nothing in mind, I've been fine with 4gb of RAM and 320gb HD.

Default M11x - 05-28-2011, 08:30 PM

Installed a Kingston 96gb 100V+ SSD, since DDR Ram is cheap and I use it for gaming, I added 8gb Ram. Had to replace the Dell wireless card, it died the 2nd day I had it, swapped in an Intel 5100 card I had in my inventory. Updated the Nvidia graphics, latest driver from Nvidia website, made a big difference in gaming over the old driver Dell has on their website. Updated bios to A05. Definitely impressed with the M11X, even more so when I consider the price I paid at the Outlet.
