I really have answered this earlier iin the post here, guess you didnt read it.

havent really done too much yet, seems to be more responsive, really wont be able to tell until after I use it for a couple days and see how various applications respond, seems quicker on opening apps though like word etc....also had a couple of games that didnt run that run now.....

BTW: I have noticed that the system hibernates and recovers from hibernation in about 1/3 of the time it used to so booting and shutting down is much, much quicker...generally very happy with the RAM upgrade, still playing around but I have noticed a considerable improvement in response time since before the 2gb upgrade

I read all the post. I was wondering especially for video streaming performance. I guess that it runs well now. I am planning to go to windows 7 after the RAM upgrade, where as I read, there are much better drivers which support flash player performance

thanks for you reply

Default Dell Inspiron Mini 10 R031P daughter board - 11-24-2011, 04:31 AM

I thought I'd share a pretty good deal on the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 R031P daughter board I ordered from AscendTech. It was $35 with FREE shipping (see link below). I won't have a chance to install it for a few weeks but I will let everyone know how it goes.

I would be VERY suspicious @ $35...who knows how long it will work and if it will work at all, these boards are pretty rare and for them to sell @ that price, what are they making on it?....I paid $160 and dont regret it at all (Dell originally quoted me $554, then another company I found wanted around $300, then I found the one for $160..but $35...I dont know?), maybe yours will work who knows.....let me know 6mths from now.....Good Luck though....ya know if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.....

BTW: if you can get them that cheap why dont more people on here with 1010's have 2gb already?
