Default 1010 Tuner Card - 06-25-2010, 08:21 PM

Can someone verify... the tuner card that came in XP based 1010's is/was a different version than what shipped in the Vista based 1010's. Because the Windows 7 drivers found on Dell's site will not work in my (originally XP based) 1010. The XP drivers do work... any thoughts? Thanks!

Ok, since no one seems to know the answer. What driver is everyone using with a 1010 that shipped with XP & and a tuner card that has now installed Windows 7? Is everyone using the XP driver?

Do you use the atsc or dvb-t variant of the tv-tuner.

Normally they are hauppauge versions for dell.
So you can us hauppauge driver.

atsc = HVR-950
dvb-t = wintv ministick (55xxx)

the atsc is usually for the US and the dvb-t is for Europe..you by any means do NOT need both (unless you move alot)

Ok, so I think you are correct I do not have the dvb-t... all I can find on the dell website are drivers for the DVB-T under Win 7... am I missing something?

Had the exact same problem. Switch OS choice to WinXP and the ATSC drivers appear.

I used the XP drivers at first but I spent all weekend trying to find the Windows 7 Drivers ... and finally, yesterday, I did. If anyone is interested let me know. I didn't bother with the TV App, I use WMC for TV, thanks!!
