Currently running dual/single boot Win7, with the ability to boot into OSx with the Type11 bootloader cd. The one bootloader that seemed to want to work with this laptop is Chameleon RC2, but that permanently screws up my resolution in OSx to 1024x576. Go figure...

Still love this netbook though. Got it to 2gb ram and 160gb HD within the hour of Fedex delivering.
per Dell Tech support, Latitude 2100 manufactured after Aug 2009 has 1024x600 resolution.

Yeah, I understand that, but it seems like a lot of people who bought it recently still got the x576 resolution screen, even when it says they ordered a x600 screen.

that is a mistake from Dell then, call Tech Support and they will arrange for an exchange

I received the wrong resolution on my refurbished 2100 with Ubuntu. I am having one heck of a time getting Dell to fix the issue though, they are insisting they have to wait a week to see if the exact same model (refurbished) with the correct screen is available and then they can start to look at other options. It's my first time buying from Dell and it is getting a little frustrating.

I feel for ya. Returns to Dell are usually pretty smooth but exchanges always turn into a nightmare. If you can just return it and order another one. It's easier than exchanging with Dell.
