Default How to modify "About This Mac" screen - 12-30-2009, 08:37 PM

Dear all,

I saw in some threads that people changed there "About This Mac" screen.
today I spend my time to find out how to do and make my own one.

How to do:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) move your current "MacOSX.tif" from /System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/Resources
and make an backup!

2) modify it as you want with Paint Shop (or use a downloaded one)

3) Copy the file you downlaoded or made with the filename "MacOSX.tif" back to the folder /System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/Resources

4) Then fix permissions.

5) Logout and login then view About This Mac
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you make some you can share with us.

There is my first try:

After I update to Snow Leopard there was the original MacOSX.tif back again.
So I decided to make a new one. My wife (graphic designer) helped me to realize my ideas.
