Just hoping someone on here might recognise this issue and give me a hand.
mini 9 has been running beautifully for over a year now with a runcore ssd in place. it's currently got OSX running on it and all worked perfectly until yesterday. machine was off ac and sleeping, but must have finally just gone flat and powered off because when i came to use it it was dead. no problem - plug it in. powered on and booted although very slowly. once in OS system was quite sluggish but no problems reported. I saved a file onto my desktop and thought i'd reboot to try and clear the sluggishness. reboot didn't work so i shutdown. when i powered up, the apple screen appeared but then sat and spun indefinitely. tried verbose mode and it reports the file system is read-only. no matter what i do i can't get it out of read-only mode.
so i thought the SSD must be fragged. annoying. but if i remove the SSD and plug it in via usb into a desktop the disk is writeable and works fine.
another symptom is the battery is still not charged having been plugged in all night.
any thoughts please before i splash out on a new mobo?
