I have a second-hand Dell Mini 9 with a new 16GB RunCore SSD and 2GB of memory, and I've been happily running OS X on it for a while now, mostly thanks to instructions found here :)
I've been wanting to play around with Chromium OS, and have been trying to install it to a 16GB SanDisk USB stick. I've tried Dell's builds* a couple of times, and Hexxeh's builds** many times...
And the August 3rd Vanilla build worked! But only once, and it didn't have wifi, so I re-wrote my USB drive with the Flow build, and now it says "operating system not found" when I tell it to boot from that USB. The checksum on the download is correct, and the dd command is consistently writing the same number of bytes, so I think it's writing the OS properly to my USB. I can still boot into OS X and interact with the drive normally.
What could have changed? How can I fix it and boot from USB? Thanks!
