Just received my touchpad Arrived in less than 10 days from Britain, wooohoo! Very excited to try it out. Will post back ASAP!

I had the same thing. As soon as i downloaded the 10.6.6 combo update and ran the NBI before rebooting everything ran perfect and pretty quick.

To answer your other question, 10.5.8 can run really well, but SL boots and is faster, that's where you want to be.
