Problem installing clean XP Pro -

i have a problem...currently, i'm running ubuntu on a 4gb ssd, and i want to do a clean install of xp. my plan was to boot the xp pro install cd with the i/o magic usb external dvd drive i bought with the laptop, then wipe out the drive and start fresh. however, when i try to boot, the installer goes into a BSOD before i even get to hit enter to begin the installation. what could be the problem?
and it's not the cd - i have two good, verified working copies, none of them worked. |
