![]() I remember reading somewhere that it was Micro**it that had limited the 1gb maximum, so I guess Dell figured it would be more cost effective to solder the memory as where it really didnt matter..

![]() im willing to try this, i got experience with soldering and im pretty good at it.... anyone know what memory i should buy... im thinkin i can desolder it and resolder in the new memory im not shy about dismantling the laptop just a little more info and i want this to be a one time thing
