Note that the latest Ubuntu (low end) Mini-9 is designated the "Mini 9n" . . . .
I inquired on this forum about the addition of the "n" to the model number. No one seemed to think that it meant anything . . . except that it was a Ubuntu model.

Maybe.
Maybe not.

One theory: Dell are testing in Europe; plan to eventually switch to GMA-500 for the low-end Mini 9n.

I ordered my Mini 9 on the first day they were available, with Ubuntu: first week of September.

It has a "n" series sticker on it instead of the typical "XP" sticker.

Why is it so hard to believe that it's nothing more than a mistake on a webpage??

945 and 950 are the exact same thing. 945 is the chipset, 950 is the video.

Pretty sure this was a simple cockup. The NL store (whence I ordered mine, due 13-3-09!) never listed GMA500, and the UK store is now saying GMA 950 across the board:

Perhaps in some areas Dell doesn't change model numbers, but for years basically every standalone tape drive, regardless of technology, model, revision, etc., was the PowerVault 110T

Yes, but that's not how they do their laptops and desktops. That's common across many tape vendors though - you get a chassis with whatever type of tape drive you might want (LTO 2,3,4,etc.).

Since the UK site now only shows the GMA950, along with the fact that no one has gotten a GMA 500 Mini 9, I think we can put this one to bed now.
